Support Porta Sophia by submitting key prior art references that you know exist but are missing from our library. Our team of scientific and legal experts will review all community submissions. Those determined pertinent to patent reviewers will be added to the Porta Sophia database. We appreciate all community efforts to help fill existing and future gaps in our prior art collection.
What is Prior Art? As defined by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, “prior art constitutes those references or documents which may be used to determine novelty and/or non-obviousness of claimed subject matter in a patent application.” Prior art is anything related to evidence of a particular invention in the public domain before a specified date. Some examples include a published manuscript, previous patent, conference abstract, archival document, or a thread or post on a blog forum.
Quality over quantity: We seek the best prior art references demonstrating that a given psychedelic invention (e.g., method of administration or composition of compound) is in the public domain. If this evidence is achieved with a single reference, please share that “high value” resource with us.
Thank you: Through community engagement, support, and collaboration, we anticipate frequent content updates. Together, we can grow the Porta Sophia collection to help achieve our mission of supporting good patents.
Submissions should include a title, list of authors, relevant compounds, patent types, subject matter, and a URL.
